Lucy Threlfall studied painting in the classical tradition at Charles Cecil Studios in Florence and for the past twelve years she has enjoyed a successful career as a painter of portraits and landscapes.
While she continues to take portrait commissions, she has expanded her range: bringing the fascination that she found in the human form to the forms and colours of landscape, both in paint and print. Drawing on the strong technical understanding of oil paint she gained through her classical training, Lucy's work has become more free and and her interpretation has grown in depth and expression.
Lucy has exhibited with the Royal Portrait Society at the Mall Galleries, in the Garrick Milne prize at Christie's and her work can be found in private collections in the UK, Europe and Australia.
